Welcome to FGS′s home on the web!

As Frankfort and it's young athletes grow, so does our enthusiasm as parents to create organizations for them to flourish.

Frankfort Girls Softball has been one of the fastest growing leagues in the area and on pace to break yet another record of participants again this year.

It is a place for our community to watch young woman of all ages compete in a friendly and instructional arena.

Frankfort Girls Softball was established in the spring of 1971  and thanks to the efforts of hundreds of volunteer coaches and  board members over the years, many of our players have gone  on to successful Travel, High School and Collegiate Teams.

We're proud of the girls in FGS. While the League provides a  very important social outlet for our players, it also creates a  sense of team, athletic ability and competitive spirit.

From TBall to Senior Level, our mission as a league is not only to teach the basic principles of Softball, but also to promote fair play, sportsmanship, pride and identity in our young women.

by posted 07/26/2010

1st. Place Finish in Hegewisch
For the FGS
12U Fusion In-House Sunday Tournament Team

12u Frankfort Fusion team completed their excellent season by winning the Hegewisch All-Star tournament this past weekend.  The Fusion won the championship by beating Orland Park 5 to 4 in extra innings in the semifinals, and then beat the host Hegewisch squad 6 to 3 in the finals to take home 1st place.

The 12U Fusion team finished up with a 7-1 record in the Summer Sunday League.  The team was very close-knit and the girls all improved tremendously as the year went on.  The team played their best ball of the year in the Hegewisch tournament and was rewarded for their efforts.  This was a BIG step forward for the Fusion program and shows how the hard work and dedication put in by the girls all season was well worth the effort.

Congratulations on a tremendous season Girls:  Alecia Albanese, Megan Arseneau, Sasha Bosco, Erin Bullington, Hannah Gorman, Jessica Gromnicki, Kailey Hackett,  Maddie Martino, Madison Martino, Nicole Melby, Lindsey Murphy, Allison Newsom, Rebecca Paul, Kailey Pulec, Kayla Reda, Hannah Stovall, and Stephanie Zuccato.

Thanks to our coaches: Tony Zuccato, Mike Albanese, Joe Reda, Andre Martino, and Bob Martino

To check on rain outs see "Field Status" to the right of this page or call Frankfort Park District Field Condition Hotline after 3:30 p.m. at
(708) 802-2436

**For Mokena Fields after 3:30 p.m. call 708-260-9411
(we will do our best to keep it updated on rainy game days)

Closing fields is the decision of the Monee, Mokena and Frankfort League Presidents.
If a field is closed please do not use it until it is re-opened. Using wet fields not only is a safety risk to the players but also causes damage to the field.
